Gary ams is a British artist who now lives and paints in Alicante, Spain. Gary was born in Surrey and moved to Poole, Dorset when he was 5 years old. He studied illustration at the Arts Institute in Bournemouth from 1994-1997 where he learned a variety of techniques and mediums. His constant source of inspiration is light, mood and atmosphere and his main objective is to capture something profound and evoking. He captures these subjects with a loose impressionistic feel that is more thought provoking than a photograph. Colour plays a big part in his paintings capturing different times of the day, creating a dramatic or calm feel. Water, reflections, light and shadow help tie all these elements together.
